The Grady Health System name is synonymous with the concept of community benefit and has been since its founding well over 100 years ago. In fact, Grady was the vision of Henry W. Grady, editor of the "Atlanta Constitution" back in the late 1800s, who worried about the lack of quality health care for Atlanta's poor.

Today, Henry Grady no doubt would be extraordinarily pleased with the abundance of charitable ways Grady Health System addresses the healthcare needs of Georgia's communities, whether local, regional, or statewide. Grady Health System's steadfast "commitment to the under served" and its mission to improve "the health of the community by providing quality, comprehensive health care in a compassionate, culturally competent, ethical and fiscally responsible manner," makes it uniquely positioned to serve the changing population of Metro Atlanta and the rest of Georgia.

Although governed by the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation, Grady's indigent and charity care extends well beyond Fulton and DeKalb counties. Grady relies on the Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation to solicit mission-critical donor dollars.

Your investment - of time, talent, or financial support - will help to continue Henry Grady's dream and help today's Grady Health System continue to improve the quality of life for your fellow Atlantans and Georgians.
